Da-da-daa-da-dada-da-dadaaaa

In honor of the Family Guy Star Wars episode, I dug up this little treat: an all Star Wars soundtrack mix I made for Halloween 1999. My buddy Zach and I participated in a haunted house, and we dorked out and did a Sith room. He was Darth Maul and I was Darth Vader. We had a cardboard Han Solo frozen in carbonite, and this soundtrack playing on repeat. It was awesome.

I <3 Whodini

So my girl and I were sacking out this Saturday eve, and we happened across NYCTV's program The Bridge doing a show about Whodini being inducted to the Hip Hop Hall of Fame. They were showing footage of them performing at the The Fresh Fest tour and we decided that they were totally badass. You had Ecstasy strutting around in short shorts and a leather Zoro hat, Jalil wearing pink feathers in his hair with a matching skinny belt on his leather pants, and Grandmaster Dee - the original green eyed bandit - rocking the tables. Oh, and Dr. Ice and the Kangol Kid from UTFO were their backup dancers. Perfect.

So in honor of their induction, here's this little Thomas Dolby (yes, that Thomas Dolby) produced ditty.

Dancing with the Devil in a pale moonlight....

This is Bruce, my parent's ex-bat. I thought he was kinda cute, but my mom thought he was gross so they called animal control and he's not around anymore.

Jet Settin'

Big shouts to Seattle for having out Decadance Theatre for the annual Bumbershoot Festival. We had a blast.

For those that don't know, Bumbershoot is a weekend long music and arts festival right in the heart of Seattle underneath the Space Needle. It's like a huge fairground with about 5 or 6 outdoor stages, a performing arts complex, food court, carnival rides, arena and vendors. Highlights included Lyrics Born playing with a live band, Lupe Fiasco's amazing stage presence, and 10,000 some odd fans putting up their lighters for ODB during the Wu-Tang Clan show. (yep, they all showed)
